HYDROHOIST DESIGNS SPECIALTY LIFT FOR WESTERN TANEY COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT
The folks at Western Taney County Fire District are now able to launch their rescue boat in under four minutes.
“We were excited to receive the opportunity to create a custom lift and control for the primary rescue boat on Table Rock Lake,” said Mick Webber, President and CEO of HydroHoist Marine Group.
The Western Taney County Fire District approached Rick’s Boat Lifts in Kimberling City, Missouri in July of this year with the need to dry dock their 2014 Lake Assault rescue boat. Owned and operated for over 25 years, Rick Swanson of Rick’s has been an Authorized HydroHoist Boat Lifts dealer for several years. Upon receiving the bid opportunity, Rick reached out to the corporate team at HydroHoist Marine Group to help take on this specialty lift project.
Boat #1 of the Western Taney County Fire District is the latest addition to their lake rescue equipment. With twin 300 HP Mercury motors, 1,500 gallon per minute pump plus 20 gallons of call B foam, this rescue boat can reach up to 18,000 pounds fully stocked.
“Our engineering team at HydroHoist Marine Group along with Bell Electric Contractors jumped on the project to create a custom control to handle the weight along with the timeliness of dropping the boat in an emergency,” explained Webber.
